"Luthier de génie" -- Hubert Stoecklin, resmusica.com, 29.08.2007
"I can't explain why, but his instruments have a purely Italian character..." - Renato Scrollavezza - violinmaker.
"It has a loud and beautiful sound... interesting and a promising violin, certainly, a very successful one..." - François Fernandez.
"The most beautiful newly made violin I have seen" - Natsumi Wakamatsu.
"It's a Stradivarius! I am totally happy..." - Blai Justo
"... we just had our second concert with Schütz / Monteverdi program - it goes very well, the instruments really do convince us, the colleagues and the audience!" - Sigiswald Kuijken

I made ca.60 instruments for world famous players such as Francois Fernandez , Ryo Terakado and Sigiswald Kuijken, for the members of La Petite Bande, Bach Collegium Japan, Orchestra Libera Classica, Collegium Vocale Ghent, Ricercar Consort and many others. I have been specialising in early violins for the past 15 years. My studio was run in St.Petersburg (Russia), Brussels (Belgium ) and now in Tokyo (Japan).

My innovative work has been welcomed and supported among others by La Petite Bande, and assisted by the Flemish government as well as private sponsors. These innovations include the study and experimentation with baroque strings in collaboration with Mimmo Peruffo of Aquila Corde, a variety of experiments concerning the way the early violin was set up, the recreation of the violoncello da spalla and of a set of early baroque violins for the music of Schutz - a project on which I have been working since 1997, and which was completed in February 2007. Rare activities which I pursued were recognised by the Belgian government and in October 2001 I was granted Belgian citizenship. My studio has been first established in St.Petersburg, then re-opened in Brussels, and now in Tokyo since 2006.
